Coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10) is naturally produced by the body and is stored in the mitochondria, where it assists in energy generation and helps protect cells from oxidative stress and damage. Research suggests that levels of CoQ10 may decrease with age, and there are associations between lower CoQ10 levels and certain health conditions such fibromyalgia, heart disease, brain disorders, and diabetes.
